Our Company is located in Chicago (West Loop) and employs 35 people. We are in need of a part-time, full charge bookkeeper to work approximately 15-20 hours per week. We offer dependable long term employment at a competitive wage. The schedule is flexible but must be during normal business hours.
You must have experience with QuickBooks (currently running Quickbooks 2009). The successful candidate will be an articulate, detail oriented person with strong organizational and analytical skills who is a self starter and can work independently. Effective communication skills will be necessary to communicate with ownership and our vendors. The ability to multitask is essential.
You will be responsible for all accounting functions. Responsibility include:
+ preparation of monthly financial statements
+ weekly journal entries
+ reconciliation of multiple bank accounts
+ limited accounts receivable responsibility
+ accounts payable tasks include matching and entering invoices, setting up vendors, scheduling payments and preparing checks
+ preparing ADP payroll and maintaining payroll records
+ monitoring the payment of payroll taxes
+ some HR functions will be required
+ maintain accounting/vendor files and perform limited administrative duties
