Tax Training Associate (December 15 – March 5) - Position Description:
Tax Training Associates play a vital role in ensuring that our 1,800 volunteers are trained and certified to complete individual tax returns for hardworking, low-income taxpayers across the Chicago area. Associates conduct 2.5-hour tax classes during which they review tax law basics related to the Form 1040, explain how to navigate ProSeries software (professional tax software made by Intuit) and assist volunteers with a two-step certification test. Tax trainings take place before and during the tax season at our downtown office as well as on-site at the offices of our various corporate partners, such as Deloitte, Kirkland & Ellis, and Kraft Foods. Prior experience in tax and/or with ProSeries is not required, but strongly preferred.

-Excellent presentation & communication skills
-Quick learner who can work well independently
-Access to a car
-Availability for various weekday and weeknight training sessions
-Motivated and interested in learning within a growing, entrepreneurial organization
-Comfortable giving presentations using PowerPoint
