Two Genuine 1950's "Davy Crockett" Coonskin Caps!! - $25 (Maywood)
Back in the mid 50's my brother Don and I were HUGE fans of the legendary Davy Crokett movie, starring Fess Parker and Buddy Ebson (before "The Beverly Hillbillys") Our mom and dad somehow got us two genuine coonskin caps, with, get this, DETACHABLE TAILS! That's right, each tail is attached by a gripper. Ah, technology! These are both XL kid sizes, and will not fit adults. Both are in excellent shape. The only defect is that the one I wore has the lining seperated from the outside band. (see pic) Two minutes with a sewing machine will easily fix that. You just don't see these anymore, and it's a wonderful snippet of 1950's Americana. I'm selling them for $25.00 each. To purchase these hats, you need to come to my house in Maywood.
