PRINT SHOP MANAGER

Our Chicago location is currently seeking a Shop Manager with the following experience and knowledge to help our company grow!
BASIC FUNCTION
Oversee and monitor employees in Small Format, Digitech and Graphics departments. This person should be able to step in and take over for someone from any one of those departments who is out of the shop for any reason. This person may also be in charge of one of the departments and oversee the others, depending on size of the shop. Provide assistance as needed in those departments depending on the shops workflow. Train and develop all personnel in Xerox, Digitech and Graphics. Oversee that proper care/maintenance is being provided on all shop equipment. Order all necessary supplies for the shop, ensuring that the shop never out of supplies or becomes overstocked.
TYPICAL WORK
• Training and monitoring the development of all production personnel in the shop.
• Overseeing the progress of all jobs in Small Format, Digitech, and Graphics
• Ensuring that all jobs are finished on time and sent out on time
• Ensuring the quality of all jobs, checking and signing off on everything before it leaves the shop
• Ordering and making sure all necessary supplies are always on site when needed
• Assisting with customer service as needed
• Assisting with sales as needed
• Assist with File/Archive duties as needed
• Assist with Finishing Binding duties as needed
• Assist with Dry Mount/Lamination duties as needed
• May be asked to be in charge of one department while overseeing the others, depending on size of shop
• Stepping in for any production employee who is out sick, on vacation, or otherwise absent fro the shop
• Other duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Extensive knowledge (4+ years) of all areas of production in reprographics industry
• Ability to handle any job that comes in the shop from start to finish
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent people skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to give price quotes for any type of project
• Knowledge of all production equipment, software, and materials
• Ability to handle troubleshooting issues that may arise concerning any equipment, software, and materials
• Ability to train/mentor others in all aspects of the job
• Extensive knowledge of all customers being serviced by the shop
