ENERGY ENGINEER - Chicago, IL
Responsibilities:
- Calculate energy impact, financial costs and benefits for identified energy conservation opportunities
- Work closely with experienced energy mangers to deliver reports, project definition, and documentation necessary to meet client requirements
- Analyze energy consumption and cost data to identify and correct operational anomalies, prepare budgets and forecast future consumption trends
- Perform and manage the energy benchmarking and assessments
- Provide clear and concise reporting of all energy and sustainability activities on prescribed intervals or as requested by client.
- Develop portfolio-wide training and communication of energy conservation activities
- Learn and use six sigma type methodologies to identify opportunities and create control plans to sustain energy savings
- Collaborate with other Jones Lang LaSalle energy and environmental managers to learn best practices and publish best practices developed on client account for benefit of all firm clients.
Requirements:
- College graduate (Bachelor's of Engineering).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent analytical skills using Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Access (SQL and C# experience a plus).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints, without direct supervision.
