OUR CONSTRUCTION TEAM
NORESCO’s Construction Group manages the design/build construction activities for large commercial and institutional facilities. Our construction management teams develop the scopes of work, project schedules, budgets, conduct customer meetings, maintain project records, hire and manage subcontractors on the job sight. Successful projects take dedication and commitment to customer satisfaction and safety.
We have an immediate need for an Associate Project Manager to work out of our Chicago, Illinois office.
The ideal candidate for this role would be a recent college graduate with an interest and general understanding of energy conservation and familiarity with HVAC and electronics.
In order to be successful in the role of Associate Energy Engineer, you will need to perform the following tasks:
Develop and ensure compliance with safety plans. Monitor and document subcontractor safety compliance.
Develop scopes of work and monitor subcontractor compliance.
Witness and inspect subcontractor work for quality control, cost control, schedule and completeness.
Assist in managing the bid process, including qualifying subcontractors and evaluating subcontractor bids.
Coordinate, conduct and document inspections of work with the owner's representative to achieve substantial and final completion.
Develop and manage project schedules, coordinate subcontractor access with owner.
Coordinate delivery of materials, receive materials and coordinate vendor deliveries for NORESCO purchased material.
Assist in preparation of project budgets and manage projects to within project budgeted amount.
Assist in preparation of accurate monthly project financial projections.
Maintain high level of customer satisfaction.
In order to be considered for the role of Associate Project Manager, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements:
Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years experience in the management of construction contracts.
Familiar with a variety of trades with an emphasis on electronics, energy management systems or HVAC preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word and Excel.
Position is expected to be on-site during the week.
Some travel is required.
