Commercial Contractor seeks experienced Site Safety Manager
Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in the construction safety field. Minimum 30 hour OSHA card and current CPR and First Aid card required. Safety certifications such as ASP, STS, or CHST and designations as “Competent Person” in scaffolding, fall protection, crane hazards and awareness are a plus.
In-field safety monitoring is required. Project is located within immediate Chicago near west side area.
Responsibilities Include:
• Work in conjunction with Project Management team for safe operation of project work site.
• Maintain previously established site safety program for construction project.
• Daily in-field monitoring of the work activities of for their compliance with the safety program/procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Potential areas of awareness- Accident Investigation and Recreation, Public Protection, Fall Protection, Crane/Rigging Safety, Traffic Control Safety, and Fire Safety.
