We are a residential interior design firm in Chicago looking for someone to help manage a unique project. It will be on a project basis and is expected to last one year; employment cannot be guaranteed beyond that point, but we hope to find someone to be with us throughout the entire project. The project will involve doing walk-throughs of homes with GCs and selecting appropriate finishes and architectural modifications based on specified standards. Some drawing and space planning will be necessary. This position will be paid on an hourly basis but is expected to be full-time.
The ideal candidate will have design as well as architectural experience, will be professional, and will be able to make fast and good decisions on site. Thus, at least several years of experience similar to that described will be required. A degree in Interior Design or Architecture is required. A car will be necessary for travel between sites; mileage will be reimbursed at the appropriate rate.
