Marcel Media, an Inc. 5000 Chicago-based Interactive marketing agency specializing in Search Engine Marketing, is looking for an Account Representative with a proven sales record and knowledge and experience in the SEO/PPC/Internet Marketing field.

Description:

The Account Representative will be responsible for selling Internet marketing services to all sizes of organizations. The Account Representative will primarily target Directors and Vice Presidents of marketing departments and owners/CEOs. Responsibilities range from developing account opportunities, defining the Internet marketing services to meet the account’s needs, and selling/closing services to meet our prospective clients’ business goals, as well as building and solidifying lasting relationships with customers. This position offers salary (commensurate with experience) plus commission plus eligibility for year-end bonus based on revenue and company goals.

Responsibilities Include:

• Developing, prospecting and cultivating leads using multiple sources
• Setting up face to face and phone meetings with qualified prospects
• Meeting individual quarterly and annual sales goals
• Assessing potential business deals, negotiating favorable terms, and acquiring prospect commitment
• Constructing proposals/contracts within selling guidelines (product offerings, pricing, etc.) established by Marcel Media
• Serving as a liaison between Marcel Media and targeted client prospects
• Communicating ongoing contact/sales activities through Sales Pipeline Report, Call Reports, and Salesforce.com
• Displaying a thorough understanding of assigned target industries and Marcel Media's competitive advantages
• Staying current on changes and best practices in Internet marketing
• Listening to, identifying, and understanding prospects' viewpoint and tailoring communication to meet prospect needs and expectations
• Providing documentation on new client acquisitions to the Operations team
• Managing relationship with client on an ongoing basis
• Continued development and skill sharpening in the online marketing industry

Qualifications:

• Understanding of search engine marketing and web development
• 3-5 years sales experience required – preferably in online advertising, direct marketing, or e-commerce/software industries
• Exceptional research and analytic, presentation and communication skills
• Self-motivated team player who consistently strives to exceed goals and push revenue expectations
• Bachelor degree required
• High competency level in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strategic thinker with proven consulting skills
• Proven track record of sales success
• Must have experience in Internet marketing, ideally with strong industry relationships
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, and succinct presentation skills to prospects at all decision-making levels
• Proven success in an entrepreneurial environment
• Extremely ambitious and hard working
• Deeply familiar and passionate about the World Wide Web and online marketing
• Able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity and meeting deadlines
• Flexible, and able to quickly adapt to new situations
• Must have a car for transportation to and from sales meetings and appointments
