I am an out of town bride trying to find a location that has reasonable pricing for a wedding reception (and possibly ceremony). I was thinking about maybe some locally owned location that does not charge high prices for foor/beverage. It can be a suburb of Chicago. Ideally it would fit 150 - 200 people, under $30 per person, kids menu available, heavy hors'de' ouvres or buffet/family style. I have been to wedding shows that have amazing caterers that charge less than the hotels do, but they are local to my area and not in Chicago.

So I need suggestions from vendors or brides on where I might go. I need to know about the places that are not well known that can offere me prices within my budget. Suggestions anyone?
