Any Active Environmental Groups???

Hey, I'm a recent college grad interested in getting more involved (probably volunteer) in environmental activism around the chicago area.
I'd be most interested in working to raise awareness about global warming/take action to stop it, cause what's happening to our planet sucks.
Any suggestions/groups already making a stir about these issues???
