Women Writers Group (Lincoln Park/Lakeview)

Supportive. Creative. Enthusiastic. Inspired. Warm. Genuine. These are only a few of the adjectives that describe the group of women writers I hope to compile. It's my hope that egotistical and/or incredible competiveness not show their faces within the group-we've got enough of that in the 'real' world, don't we? Writing is incredibly solitary- although I do love it! And I'm looking to share that love with others- amateurs to professionals alike. I have nothing against men, quite the contrary, its just that I already know a lot of male writers and would like to surround myself with more females. Email me, tell me about yourself and why you might feel the same need for female writer companionship/kinship. Also, I must emphaize that I do want these meetings to be productive as well as friendly. I am hoping that being part of a group will help give me the push I sometimes need to get things done. I'm thinking we'd probably meet once a month or so in a coffee shop or other public place and then go from there.
