We are looking for a nanny for our two boys, one who will be approx 2 years 10 months and the other who will be 7 months old at the end of August. We live in Lincoln Square close to the train, numerous shops, restaurants, and parks. The days needed are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 7:30 to 4:00. The wage is $13.00 an hour. The start date will be approximately the third week in August.

Our toddler is very loving and playful. He has a passion for learning and is very inquisitive and focused. We�d like someone who can develop his skills intellectually and personally while providing a loving and nurturing environment for him and his sibling. The baby is good natured, easy going, and is starting to show signs of good intelligence that we would like to see cultivated. Good English language/communication skills are a must as is a friendly and personable demeanor. A driver�s license is also a must - so you can take either of them to classes/appointments if necessary and our toddler to preschool (using our car or yours if you prefer). Experience with both toddlers and babies is a must, as are good references.

I was employed at a daycare for over two and a half years, but left to find a change from the fast pace of a childcare center. As a previous employee of a childcare center, I am comfortable and well prepared to carry out activities such as play time (indoors and out) with educational as well as fun activities, nap time/ quiet time, cooking healthy meals, cleaning, etc. I think children need to be always using/developing their minds. I don't agree with pointless, non-educational tv watching. I would much rather children be outside playing, or doing something creative indoors such as reading, painting, coloring, dancing, puzzles, etc.

Hello! This is for a half-day daycare/early-childhood enrichment program for 2-3 year olds.

After working as a preschool teacher with a class of 22 children in a traditional program, I wanted to try an approach to early education that would focus more on children's amazing imagination and creativity, along with much more individual, one-on-one attention than a large class can provide.

The "Mini Preschool" is housed in my large, sunny Wicker Park ground floor apartment. There is a large garden in the back, and the apartment is filled with art supplies and musical instruments (lots of pianos and keyboards as well as percussion instruments - I have a BA in Music and play a wide variety of instruments). The curriculum includes numbers, letters, puzzles/games/problem solving, story time, drawing, building, singing and playing instruments, dancing, gardening in the backyard, child-safe "cooking" (basic food preparation made fun!), and, of course, good old-fashioned free play. Heavy emphasis is placed on encouraging children's imagination and creativity.

The class size is currently set at 3 (this may expand to 4 or 5 later on in the summer), and there are currently 2 openings. You can drop your child off anytime after 9am and pick him or her up anytime before 2pm. Rates are monthly and depend on how many hours per week your child is in my care.
