We have an opening for a Litigation Paralegal in our Chicago office. The ideal candidate must have litigation paralegal experience and enjoy a fast-paced and changing work environment with a solid understanding of complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on products liability litigation, trademark and Internet litigation and business litigation.
Responsibilities include management of litigation case files and documents, reviewing documents and assistance in preparation of legal briefs, cite checking, maintaining databases, preparation for and assistance at depositions and trials. Proficiency in Summation, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Lexis/Nexis and Westlaw a plus.
Candidates MUST have a minimum of 5 years of Litigation paralegal and trial experience. Knowledge of court procedures and law. This is a highly detailed-orientated position that requires sound judgment and the ability to juggle priorities and handle multiple tasks. Candidate must possess very strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills, be highly detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage workload. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Paralegal degree or Bachelors degree preferred.
