The Retention Manager reports to the Director Acquisition & Marketing and is responsible for the strategy and implementation of PEAK6 retention, activation, stimulation and winback programs for its existing customers across its core businesses.
The Senior Manager will develop and manage campaigns and highly analytical projects aimed at mitigating and reducing customer churn, increasing customer loyalty, and stimulating response, including offer analysis, customer segmentation and campaign analysis.
COR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop retention, activation, stimulation and winback marketing strategies.
Work closely with product management, communications team, channel marketing, and forecasting groups to execute and evaluate product and channel forecasts.
Accountability for development and execution of all social media strategies and tactics across core businesses, including extensive build out of all community strategies
Manage and drive all analytical initiatives related to the core strategies behind existing customer marketing initiatives, including customer database segmentation, differentiated treatments, and promotional offers
Work closely with the analytics team to develop sophisticated retention reporting capabilities across businesses
Develop the email marketing strategy including contact strategies, audience and targeting strategies, ongoing testing funnel, and optimizing content & creative on an ongoing basis
Recommend new ideas, innovations & new technologies to grow and improve the email channel Providing vision, strategy, leadership for the Email channel
Create a sense of purpose and excitement for all involved in the email program
Implement and bring new ideas to life while working across departments
Work with 3rd party subscription data (comscore, hitwise) to provide additional, dimensional analyses
Form effective relationships with a broad cross-section of personnel in order to effectively accomplish the position's tasks. These relationships include, but are not limited to the following teams: marketing, merchandising, customer service, and data warehouse teams.
Integrate data and qualitative information from a variety of sources to develop strategic frameworks and drive fact-based decision-making while leveraging strong strategic skills, analytic skills and financial acumen
Lead and coordinate numerous projects simultaneously utilizing proven interpersonal skills, a passion for understanding the consumer and the creation of new businesses
Manage 3 direct reports initially and grow and evolve the relationship marketing organization according to business demands
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
At least 5-7 years marketing experience, with a proven track record of results and will have included responsibility for strategic planning, delivery of marketing services, management of traditional and non-traditional advertising media, and experience launching new and ground-breaking offerings
5+ years online experience required, as well as a deep knowledge of database marketing and analysis
Proven track record of thriving in fast paced and cross-functional business environments, and of over-delivering against stretch targets
Experience with marketing budgets, P&Ls, and forecasting required
Outstanding analytical skills, with acute attention to detail and an inquisitive mind
Ability to work effectively across functions, with minimal direction (self-starter)
Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written skills, with the ability to present data and conclusions in an organized, concise manner at all levels throughout company
Must be comfortable within a high-paced, competitive environment
A strong business person who thinks about issues from a business perspective; brings strong business and financial acumen to the role and uses this to complement his/her functional depth
Prior supervisory experience required
High energy with a strong drive to succeed and make things happen
Strong work ethic
Able to proactively work toward a goal without significant structure or rules
Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment; ability to work well under pressure; ability to execute aggressive deadlines under changing business dynamics
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline; MBA highly desired
