The Email Manager reports to the Retention Manager and is responsible for creating, launching and tracking successful email campaigns targeted at new and existing customers within the core businesses of PEAK6 Online that will lead to the overall goals of increasing customer satisfaction and customer loyalty, stimulating response to offers and mitigating and reducing customer churn.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and produce emails across multiple campaigns for a variety of businesses
Provide vision, strategy, and leadership for the Email channel
Create and manage a weekly marketing calendar
Assess how to improve underlying processes that support all ongoing email programs
Define, report, analyze, and communicate critical metrics that drive results
Form effective relationships with a broad cross-section of personnel in order to effectively accomplish the position's tasks. These relationships include, but are not limited to the following teams: marketing, product management, customer service, engineering, and data warehouse teams
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3 years of managing large-scale and multi-dimensional email programs, ideally in a B2C e-commerce environment
At least 5 years of overall marketing experience
5+ years online experience required, as well as a deep knowledge of database marketing
Experience defining, prioritizing, structuring and bringing to life complex new business opportunities
Experience creating and managing dynamically personalized email campaigns using enterprise-level email management tools such as StrongMail, CheetahMail or ExactTarget
Deep familiarity with defining data needs and working with data warehouses & technical experts to extract and make full use of data
Highly developed analytical and excel skills and familiarity with core e-commerce metrics
Great people skills to enhance collaboration with colleagues across departments
A track record of thriving in fast paced and cross-functional business environments, and of over-delivering against stretch targets
Solid analytical skills, with acute attention to detail and an inquisitive mind
Able to work effectively across functions, with minimal direction (self-starter)
Outstanding verbal and written skills, with the ability to present data and conclusions in an organized, concise manner
Must be comfortable within a high-paced, competitive environment
High energy with a strong drive to succeed and make things happen
Strong work ethic
Able to proactively work toward a goal without significant structure or rules
Proven interpersonal skills, a passion for understanding the consumer and the creation of new businesses, and an ability to lead and coordinate numerous projects simultaneously
