The Digital Media Academy (DMA) is a nationally recognized organization offering hands-on learning experiences in a broad range of digital media technologies. DMA offers summer camps for kids and teens and "Pro-Series" courses for adult-learners. Founded in 2001 by a group from Stanford University, DMA is best known for its premier summer programs hosted at 10 prestigious destination campuses including the University of Chicago. In addition to its summer programs, DMA provides on-site training to schools and companies and offers workshops throughout the year at its training facility in Campbell, CA.
DMA teen and adult courses are accredited by Stanford University Continuing Studies and offered for optional Stanford Continuing Studies credit. Instructors include nationally known industry experts, master teachers and award-winning creative professionals.
We are seeking a highly responsible, energetic, outgoing, and friendly individual, to represent Digital Media Academy and promote our summer 2010 program at University of Chicago.
Core Job Responsibilities:
• Represent DMA to top K-12 private and public schools, while developing relationships with key administrators and teachers
• Attend local camp fairs and other related events
• Research and contact other organizations to forge mutually beneficial partnerships
• Promote DMA through local media
• Participate in social networking and other internet based marketing campaigns as they apply to the local area
Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Outgoing and persuasive personality
• Experience marketing to K-12 schools preferred
Ideally this position would also lead into a summer opportunity with DMA.
Minimum 10 hours per week for approximately 6 months
