Scope/Overview
The Account Supervisor (AS) is responsible for managing Agency resources to ensure successful program execution for a well-known client in the retail industry. The AS also looks beyond the day-to-day account needs and develops ways to build a client’s business. The Account Supervisor role includes, but is not limited to, leading and monitoring day-to-day activities relating to the client, managing an account team to ensure strategically that the client’s needs are being met, and working with other departments to develop long-term strategies that will build a client’s business. Bi-cultural (Spanish) or knowledge of Hispanic culture a plus. The AS reports to an Account Director and plays a key role in developing subordinates. Previous experience in the retail category is required for this position.
Core Responsibilities
• Help manage client’s directives, goals and objective on the account
• Conduct a marketing analysis on all aspects of the client’s business
• Execute sound, relevant experiential/marketing strategies in coordination with account team
• Utilize internal and external resources to provide on-target solutions and produce flawless promotional events
• Develop strategies to increase brand-building activity
• Analyze results throughout the program and make adjustments to any of the above
• Ensure company standards, policies and procedures are maintained at every level of client activity and internally
• Take proactive approach to anticipate internal and external concerns and maintain level of flexibility to quick respond to changing client demands
• Provide leadership, management, coaching and development for account staff and other departments working on the account
• Prioritize account activity to achieve optimum efficiency and profitability
• Completely understand budget commitments and manage account relevance to deliver them
• Implement and/or monitor account budget. Stay within parameters of budget and communicate to client and/or senior management if changes are made
• Help clients prepare sound proposals for financing new value added programs
• Work with HR to ensure HR policies, practices, initiatives, etc. are developed and communicated effectively and adhered
• Work with HR to ensure all disciplinary issues are dealt with fairly and quickly
• Manage needs of designated human resources to maximize learning and productivity while minimizing turnover

Position Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years as a promotional marketing Senior Account Executive or minimum of 5- 7 years’ relevant industry experience;
• Knowledge of Hispanic culture a plus
• Previous experience in the retail category
• Solid knowledge of all aspects of experiential marketing
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation, promote enthusiasm and motivate strategic thinking
• Developed management, leadership and team building abilities
• Advanced ability to present and sell Agency recommendations
• Ability to monitor/evaluate and impact the quality of a client’s work within all related functions
