Who we are.
We’re 200 entrepreneurs. We’ve built a billion-dollar business – the city’s biggest communications company by far – here in the cultural capital of the Pacific Northwest. We love Seattle. And its spirit. A ton of us have moved from the most creative cities in the world, including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London and Shanghai to name a few. Our biggest client is T-Mobile, but we have a handful of others whose brands are amazing in their own right: a leading edge travel brand called HomeAway.com, an iconic tire company in Les Schwab, the UNICEF TAP Project and KEXP, the world’s largest listener-supported radio station. At night, we’ve all got diverse interests that make us fun the next morning. Our office is in the heart of lower Queen Anne with amazing views of Puget Sound, great coffee (sacrilege, we know) and a Friday keg tradition that celebrates local microbreweries.
We make cool stuff. We generate interactive, experiential, and experimental ideas. We’re all about conversing with the consumer, not advertising to them. We are conversation changers. What’s new is old: we concentrate on what’s next.
We’re brand consultants as much as we are brand stewards. And our ideas meet at the intersection of creativity and application. We believe in using creativity to solve our clients’ business problems, which makes us more than just advertisers.
Who You Are.
You have a solid background in Account Planning, having worked for 3-5 years in a planning department at a creatively-driven agency. You know the basics of how to write a creative brief and you've worked directly with clients and creative teams in the development of advertising. You have a passion for the planning discipline and possess a natural curiosity in people and culture. You are smart, articulate and are willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in wherever needed. Perhaps most importantly, you're a self-starter with an affable personality and a good sense of humor!
Optional, but important, we're looking for candidates with experience working on brands that are a natural part of youth culture and/or a person with a deep understanding of social media, from both a user's and marketer's perspective.
The Job.
• You'll be an important addition to our planning team on T-Mobile, supporting two planning directors in the development of major campaigns, and work more autonomously as the lead planner on several exciting and high-profile assignments (new device launches, sports sponsorships, and the like.) You’ll touch everything from up-front information gathering, strategic development and ideation, creative development through to campaign effectiveness assessment.
• You'll spearhead a quarterly consumer and cultural trends presentation given to agency staff, supported by two junior-level planners.
• In addition, this position will be an important go-to member of the new business team when we're pitching new business.
The Opportunity.
We’re surrounded by the Googles, Nintendos, Microsofts, Amazons, Starbucks and rivers, lakes and mountains. In short, we’re naturally drawn to the Next Big Thing.
The Perks.
Comprehensive benefits package includes: medical, dental, vision, pet insurance, company-matched 401(k), paid vacation and sick days, 12 company-paid holidays, 2 Floating Holidays, 3 Summer Fun Fridays, Flexible Spending Accounts, and discounts at vendors such as T-Mobile and Apple.
