Love after dating, dream after dream - m4m - 41 (Chicago)

Date: 2009-06-06, 8:46PM CDT

Ideally, I am looking for a LTR. Sex is awesome, God knows I love it, but there's nothing like sex in the context of a loving, long-term relationship. There's no denying sex can be hot outside of such a context but I think love ads an extra dimension to it, some sort of special aphrodisiac... I know, you don't find love just around the corner. But that's what I aim at. I am not desperate, I can wait.

I was born in another part of America: Havana, Cuba. I now live in this part: Chicago, USA. I'm a Cuban of Spanish descent, five'eight'', 157 lbs., thirty two waist, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, smooth torso. Although everybody tells me that I look much younger, I'm actually 41 yo.

I'm intellectually-oriented, very cosmopolitan, and I love the fine arts – including many different kinds of music, foreign/independent films, literature, theater, you name it – and getting to know other people, their cultures and languages. I am also a laid back guy who both have AND treasure a great sense of humor – wait to hear me crack up! :-). I love walking, jogging, swimming and keeping myself at the least minimally fit. I lament I don't get to go out camping and hiking as often as I'd like to (maybe you can help me with that :). And I most definitely love spending quality time with friends, going out and talking and eating with them. Overall speaking, I'm extroverted and adventurous, and the type of masculine gay guy who also happens to be very romantic. I like my dancing once in a while but clubs and bars are definitely not the first things that come to my mind when I think of going out. 'Attitude' is an English word I keep at a distance, let's say I show my attitude to it :). And gayness is a much welcomed, joyful part of my worldview, but NOT my sole worldview.

I've always been passionate about the so-called 'ultimate questions.' For years, I focused on the answers that progressive, ecumenical Christianity provide to those questions. Nowadays, however, I'm more of an agnostic. My admiration for Aquinas hasn't waned a bit but I now dedicate just as much attention to Philosophy proper and the natural sciences (I'm particularly captivated by Cosmology!). All in all, my spiritual and intellectual quest is still very much alive and unfolding. The questions have grown again, and I seek to answer them differently. I hold a BA in Theology and did some grad studies in the same area. I'm now working my way into a Ph.D. program combining religion and critical thinking. Eventually, I'd like to become a professor and researcher. For the time being, I do jobs that pay my bills, currently as a lawyer's assistant, a waiter and a translator (English to Spanish).

I'm looking for an openly gay or bisexual man who feels at the least intrigued when he reads this profile. Ideally, he would be masculine, educated, fun and romantic, from his mid twenties to late thirties, and preferably Latin American, Caucasian/European or Middle Eastern/Arab. He'd also be somewhat cute and fit (any combination of thin, lean, athletic, swimmer, runner, muscular), HIV negative, either a top or mostly a top, a non-smoker, non-drug user and a social drinker. If he likes poetry, or is also interested in the 'ultimate questions,' all the better, but I don't want to be asking for too much :).

Just in case we get that far, I ONLY play safe, I'm HIV-neg./DD-free and impeccably clean and expect the same in all these fronts.

If you are so intrigued, I'm ready to swap pics.

Saludos,

B.
