you already have a logo AND more flyers than you can stand? then how about some video work to promote your band? in addition to doing alot of print/web design work, i also do video work. feel free to browse my youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/evlved1 to see what i've done in the past. a few were projects done for a film class so they're not quite up to the standards i would have preferred but that's only due to specific criteria set by the instructor. there is a music video posted for my own band that you can check out, as well as two short 6 minute films that i've shot. both were 100% original concepts and were all shot/edited by myself so you can see what i'm capable of. keep in mind also that everything you see on the youtube channel was NOT shot in HD, which i'm doing now so the quality is actually ALOT nicer now than what you'll see, although they do look good as-is... just an fyi.
enough rambling. so if you think any or all of this sounds good, hit me up... i would absolutely LOVE to do all three of these for a new up and coming band to really get them going, and would drop my price if this were the situation, almost like a package deal i guess. if not it's all good too, just send me an email and we'll talk details and i assure you won't be disappointed in either my work or the price. ]]>
Picking up the guitar at a young age was probably the best thing I ever did with my life. Teaching others to play has now become a passion in and of itself for me. The rewards that come to both me, the teacher, and to my students are boundless and unending. Part of what makes the lessons I teach so much fun for both myself and my students is my belief that the best teachers are those who consider themselves students as well. As soon as one decides that they are "masters" at their instrument, that is when they have, perhaps unknowingly, decided that the learning period has come to an end. Of course, any good musician knows that music is a journey, not a destination, and the real masters are the ones who realize that there is always something beyond themselves, and who continue to chase after new learning. In teaching, I not only allow, but invite opportunity to grow musically throughout. In so doing, I encourage and rouseyou to be the kind of musician you want to be, and simply offer help along the way. Sure we will go over chords, scales, time signatures, rhythms, reading tablature, practice exercises, theory, technique...etc., but what is it you REALLY want to do? Apply what you learn on guitar so that you can become able to play some songs, and maybe even begin to write music of your own, right?! That's what I wanted to do more than anything when I started playing. To this day, two of my favorite things to do on guitar are 1: Write my own music and 2: Listen to a new song I really like and figure out what exactly the band is playing, and learn to do it myself!
So, bring me your music, bring your guitar or bass, we will, in addition to going over the essentials, listen to songs, break them down, and figure them out together! Through our lessons, not only will you become a better guitar player, but you'll become a better overall musician!
