Do you have a desire to be in the music business? Do you love live concerts? Well this is your chance to get your foot in the door to it all... We are a full service promotion and production company with a weekly event held every Wednesday evening near the DePaul campus in Lincoln Park. The series mostly books local Chicago acts but sometimes regionally or nationally touring outfits as well.
We are seeking a few assistants to help us in the process of booking and production in these 2 areas:
1. Scouting new bands. Researching band contact info including management, booking agent, or band leader to organize a performance. This is as simple as sitting online, via facebook, myspace, twitter
etc... and finding talented bands with a following. We are looking for students interested in all genres, so it doesn't matter what style of music you are into.
2. Promoting the events. Once we have confirmed and announced each event on the calender. We are seeking individuals to help us promote the series through online marketing and street team efforts around the city.
The Wednesday Affair is a staple weekly music series in Lincoln Park that has run the last 5 years.
