First, 40 million people getting 1 million dollar gifts would take 4 trillion dollars.
The govumint doesn't have 4 trillion dollars.

Second, that amount of fabricated money put into the system would dilute
the currency further, making it impossible for everyone (the gift takers included)
to buy at already inflated prices of today's indexes. If the guvamint did such
a ridiculous stunt, and poured suddenly 4 trillion dollars into the system, everything
you buy would triple in price immediately, except those items you'd pay off on
contracts long ago agreed to.

Third. To make up the 4 trillion, or at least to imply value to it, the taxes necessary
for the remaining 160 million working people would go up by a factor of 10 at least.
Therefore, just as they are doing with the healthcare fiasco, they are making your
kids and their kids awards of the state, meaning, at the time of birth, they owe the
guvumint now over $100,000 in taxes, and it accrues penalties and interest every year they live.

When 40 million people storm the auto dealers to buy that new car (to cure the
auto business) the demand will outstrip production by a factor of 25. Which means
the prices will skyrocket. You may remember in 1970 when the Datsun 240Z came
out. The supply was limited but people were paying thousands of dollars over
sticker because, (a) they had the money, and (b) they wanted to be the first to have
one.

One certain way to ruin the economy of America and the world is to create
4 trillion dollars out of thin air.

But, I'm sure we'll live to see how bad that will be, as Congress has already voted

Even though WorldNetDaily reported Last August that the birth certificate released by Barack Obama's campaign is "authentic" as determined by its own investigation, WND has fully embraced assertions that the certificate is a forgery or otherwise insufficient proof that Obama is a U.S. citizen.

(WND claims it sent "6,682 FedEx packages of nine letters each" to the Supreme Court. WND charged each letter-writer $9.95 for the privilege. Somehow we suspect FedEx charged WND a lot less than $89.45 each to overnight those envelopes to Washington -- meaning that WND has turned its hatred of Obama into a profit center.)

DEATH OF A SON (McKinley Park)

This past Friday Nov. 6, 2009 I received a phone call from my middle sons new wife in Thialand to tell me he was missing and that he fell into the Mae Ping river in Chiang Mai, Thialand. After 3 and a half days of dozens of phone calls to Thialand's U.S Consulate, Embassies, hospitals and Police stations we have finally learned that he is infact dead and he had drowned..we are distraut beyond belief but more than that we are told we may not even be able to obtain his body to have a proper burial here...this is so overwhelming and completely disheartening..we are convinced of foul play and we are awaiting some word possibly two weeks from now, of how this has happened, manner of death, cause of death has not been explained to us..we are American citizens and we were treated appallingly by everyone we spoke to from Thialand...we have not slept in nearly 72 hours or more. We need some help dealing with this overseas crisis but have barely enough money to survive let alone I have no plot to bury my son in, and no money for a funeral service...not even money for a memorial...

The AG Eric Holder released the news today that Khalid Sheik Mohammed and four other terrorist masterminds will be brought to New York City in a few weeks to stand trial for alleged terrorism in the alleged 9/11 attacks. Hopefully they will get a Democrat judge that will dismiss the case and set them free, as well as all the other Gitmo prisoners that have been needlessly detained for over 8 years!

Did Liberals Cause the Sub-Prime Crisis?
Conservatives blame the housing crisis on a 1977 law that helps-low income people get mortgages. It's a useful story for them, but it isn't true.
It's telling that, amid all the recent recriminations, even lenders have not fingered CRA. That's because CRA didn't bring about the reckless lending at the heart of the crisis. Just as sub-prime lending was exploding, CRA was losing force and relevance. And the worst offenders, the independent mortgage companies, were never subject to CRA -- or any federal regulator. Law didn't make them lend. The profit motive did.
And that is not political correctness. It is correctness.
One argument that has predictably caught on with the far right is the that the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) caused the housing bubble. The CRA "forced" banks to make loans to minorities who were poor credit risks, the argument goes, and these "subprime loans" are the root cause of the financial crisis.

This argument is, of course, not true at all. A Bank for International Settlements working paper released this week concluded:
Contrary to some media commentary, there is no evidence that the Community Reinvestment Act was responsible for encouraging the subprime lending boom and subsequent housing bust. This Act only applies to depositories, and did not cover most of the important subprime lenders. Depositories showed a lesser tendency to write subprime loans than lenders not subject to the Act (Yellen 2008).
Arguing that the CRA caused the housing bubble reveals a lot about the person making the argument, but very little about the origins of the housing bubble.
Conservatives needed to blame something other than the deregulation they love so much, so they have claimed that the housing crisis is "the direct result of thirty years of government policy that has forced banks to make bad loans to un-creditworthy borrowers." According to them, the culprit is the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act, which requires banks to lend throughout the communities they serve.
It�s a nice story that tries to shift the blame, but like most conservative blame games, it has no basis in fact.
The Blame-CRA theme is a classic rhetoric of conservative reaction.
The evidence strongly suggests the latter. First, consider timing. CRA was enacted in 1977. The sub-prime lending at the heart of the current crisis exploded a full quarter century later. In the mid-1990s, new CRA regulations and a wave of mergers led to a flurry of CRA activity, but, as noted by the New America Foundation's Ellen Seidman (and by Harvard's Joint Center), that activity "largely came to an end by 2001." In late 2004, the Bush administration announced plans to sharply weaken CRA regulations, pulling small and mid-sized banks out from under the law's toughest standards. Yet sub-prime lending continued, and even intensified -- at the very time when activity under CRA had slowed and the law had weakened.
Second, it is hard to blame CRA for the mortgage meltdown when CRA doesn't even apply to most of the loans that are behind it. As the University of Michigan's Michael Barr points out, half of sub-prime loans came from those mortgage companies beyond the reach of CRA. A further 25 to 30 percent came from bank subsidiaries and affiliates, Perhaps one in four sub-prime loans were made by the institutions fully governed by CRA.
Janet Yellen, president of the San Francisco Federal Reserve, offers the killer statistic: Independent mortgage companies, which are not covered by CRA, made high-priced loans at more than twice the rate of the banks and thrifts.
CRA, Yellen says, "has increased the volume of responsible lending to low- and moderate-income households."
Yellen is hardly alone in concluding that the real problems came from the institutions beyond the reach of CRA. One of the only regulators who long ago saw the current crisis coming was the late Ned Gramlich, a former Fed governor. While Alan Greenspan was cheering the sub-prime boom, Gramlich warned of its risks and unsuccessfully pushed for greater supervision of bank affiliates. But Gramlich praised CRA, saying last year, "banks have made many low- and moderate-income mortgages to fulfill their CRA obligations, they have found default rates pleasantly low, and they generally charge low mortgages rates. Thirty years later, CRA has become very good business."

Dear Mr. President,
Please find below my suggestion for fixing America's economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan. You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:
There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. -
Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:
1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed.
3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed.
It can't get any easier than that!

The federal and state governments are broke and the economy is screwed and not generating the tax revenue it used to. So what do these same people do? They march holding signs defending the fact that the wealthy pay less of a % of taxes than we do.

Look at budget deficits back to the 60's. We didn't start building massive debt until Reagan cut the taxes on the rich in half. Because of low capital gains and corporate taxes, the wealthy pay less as a % of income than we do.

So now that the federal government is deep in debt and every local govt is broke also, they have transferred those taxes to us, the working public in the form of red light cams, parking fees, higher property taxes etc etc And you morons are out there holding signs defending them. So while they are buying an 8th summer house or a 3rd yacht, you can check the paper to see what's on sale at the grocery store.

Yes, we should have tighter borders and more enforcement of illegals working jobs that Americans could have

But the simple fact is that the Republicans held congress from 1994-2006 and did nothing about while stirring you up about it. Illegals who work cheap and for no benefits are loved by small business owners (a lot of whom are Republicans).

Illegals working for less make the cost of everything we buy cheaper. They pick crops, build houses, dig ditches, paint, roof etc. They provide more benefit than they take, the same as every other class of immigrants who came here and worked for cheap--like our grandparents and great grandparents.

And 2/3 of them pay taxes and get pretty much nothing back except for education for their kids. Check it out. We take in 50 billion a year in tax revenue from them and they get no social security on the back end. The Gov just pockets it.

I think it's sad and embarrassing that someone with such strong feelings against fighting in a certain war should have been allowed to be in the military, and allowed to use guns, like Hasan was. I'm strongly anti-war and that is why I'm not in the military. I don't know if Hasan stayed in the military for the money or not. Conservatives are drawing battle lines with the right-wing news and commentary site WorldNetDaily, which some on the right blame for giving legitimacy to scurrilous anti-Obama rumors.
Inspired by a recent article in the Boston Herald that discussed right-wing extremism on the Internet, a blogger at The Next Right, a blog about rebuilding the Republican Party, called for companies and organizations to remove their advertisements from WND.

"The Birthers are the Birchers of our time, and WorldNetDaily is their pamphlet," wrote Jon Henke, referring to a right-wing group that conservative godfather William F. Buckley denounced in the 1960s. "The Right has mostly ignored these embarrassing people and organizations, but some . . . choose to support WND through advertising and email list rental or other collaboration."

Conservatives who disagree are finally unleashing pent-up indignation with Farah's site: Nathan Martin, a Washington editor at Patrol magazine, agreed: "I'm sick and tired of having conservatism co-opted by this type of insanity. It hurts causes and ideas I firmly believe in."

WND consistently publishes spurious claims about the president, including the notion that he is not a U.S. citizen. Despite reporting in its own pages that Obama's birth certificate is authentic, WND has vigorously kept the birther "issue" alive, encouraging visitors to fund a campaign to erect "Where's the birth certificate?" billboards along American highways.

WorldNetDaily's mailing list advertisers include the Republican National Committee.

What a surprise---they support propaganda.

The RNC did not respond to requests for comment late Tuesday on whether it would consider dropping its business with WND.

The conservative blog Right Wing Watch immediately pointed out that WND is the most prominent outlet that gives nonsense a pedestal.

AMY GOODMAN: Today is Veterans Day. We begin with a new study that estimates four times as many US Army veterans died last year because they lacked health insurance than the total number of US soldiers who were killed in Iraq and Afghanistan in the same period. A research team at Harvard Medical School says 2,266 veterans under the age of sixty-five died in 2008 because they were uninsured. Their estimates are based on their recently published findings in the American Journal of Public Health that shows how being uninsured raises a person�s odds of dying prematurely by 40 percent.

The researchers also found that nearly one-and-a-half million Veterans between the ages of eighteen and sixty-four were uninsured last year. While most veterans are eligible to receive care from the Veterans Administration, those who were not injured in combat and whose income is above a certain threshold are often ineligible.

The report�s authors say the healthcare legislation pending in the House and Senate will not significantly improve the situation.

The co-author of the report, Dr. Steffie Woolhandler, joins me here in our firehouse studio. She�s professor of medicine at Harvard University and a primary care physician in Cambridge. She is also co-founder of Physicians for a National Health Program and testified about uninsured veterans before Congress in 2007.

We welcome you to Democracy Now! I mean, these are astounding figures. Tell us exactly what you found.

DR. STEFFIE WOOLHANDLER: Well, the risk of dying is actually elevated by about 40 percent among people who have no health insurance, and there�s just under 1.5 million uninsured veterans nationally. So applying those odds to those folks, it turns out that there�s almost 2,300 folks who die�veterans who die every year due to lack of health insurance.

Many of these folks, these veterans, would not be helped under the bills before the House and Senate, because they�ll be too affluent to qualify for Medicare. If they get subsidies at all�for Medicaid. If they get subsidies at all, the subsidies will be too small to make health insurance affordable. And they�re mostly working families, folks who don�t have the money to buy private insurance, but they have too much money to qualify for Medicaid or means-tested VA benefits.

They did the research in response to a lawsuit by Philip J. Berg filed claiming that Obama is a non-citizen of the U.S. and thus ineligible to run for president.

Certainly WND's employees are not so stupid as to be unaware the article exists; thus, the only logical conclusion is that WND is deliberately ignoring, which constitutes the basis for this fraud.
If WND no longer stands by the article, it should say so. If it does stand by the article, it should stop promoting the fiction that Obama is not a U.S. citizen.
Those are the only two choices available to an ethical journalist. But WND's journalists have proven they have no interest in behaving in an ethical manner.
Until Joseph Farah and WND come clean and tell the truth, they cannot be trusted as a credible news source. If it can't reconcile its own reporting, why trust anything else it publishes?

Another scam ran by WND was A Dec. 1 article urging readers to FedEx a letter (through WND, of course) urging the Supreme Court to "review a case Friday challenging the eligibility of Barack Obama under Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution, which stipulates the position can only be filled by 'a natural born citizen'" fails to reference the August WND article calling Obama's birth certificate "authentic." (WND claims it sent "6,682 FedEx packages of nine letters each" to the Supreme Court. WND charged each letter-writer $9.95 for the privilege. Somehow we suspect FedEx charged WND a lot less than $89.45 each to overnight those envelopes to Washington -- meaning that WND has turned its hatred of Obama into a profit center.)

Corporations sure are greedy, but so is every swingin dick in this country. The problem is, they have the power but individuals need them. Too many people look upon them as evil, yet what would we do without, say, big oil? And how about the "evil" health insurance companies making too big of a profit? It's around 4%, which is low and unassailable. I hate the evil bastards that run corporations more than most of you - with very good reason. But I hate those that engage in class warfare more. Why? Because they are stupid, divisive and desire anarchy and most produce very little.

And who owns these big corporations? Why, you do, if you have a 401(k) plan, because most of them are publicly traded. And you want them sunk along with your 401(k)?

Who you should hate are ALL politicians. I say vote out every single incumbent regardless of their party affiliation. THEY are the ones screwing you. We need a new party in this country. One that is at a minimum fiscally conservative.

I spent the better part of the last two days researching 911 and the WTC and the planes used and such, Back in 2001 When this occurred there was no doubt in my mind that our own govt was behind this. What better way to get americans to willingly give up their own rights without firing a shot than to use fear. I watched a slough of vids last few days, I do not think that a plane hit the pentagon, looks like it was a missile that hit it, there would have been wider damage and more burn damage if it was a plane, The planes that hit the WTC didnt look like commercial planes, makes me wonder if they did with the people that were on the planes that supposedly crashed, Charlie Sheen brings up some interesting points, I do not think he should be slammed , he is just an american with questions that should be answered , lately asking questions seems to make bad guys out of those asking, If more americans would start questioning the leaders they put so much blind faith in maybe we'd have a better chance of figuring out who the real bad guys are
