I have a nice 3br apartment in Logan Square, with hardwood floors, north of Fullerton and west of Central Park, and I could use a roommate to help with the rent. I'm looking more for short-term situations but I'm pretty accommodating. I really only want ONE person in a room here, if you are interested in getting a 2br place I could refer you to people I know who have them available for about $650, but for $450, one person ... one room, no bills, shared common space is what you get.

Street parking is free and not zone parking, right in front of the place.

I've freshly painted the bedroom that is available. You'll be sharing the place with me and my lab-mix dog, he's about 65 lbs and I'm about 200. (Dog is shown in the gallery link down below, he's a very sweet dog, don't be afraid!) There is a one-pet limit in the lease, though, so no additional animals (cats nor dogs) sadly. You don't have to worry about the utilities, and you can use my wifi (I'll add you to the wifi security list) I have an apartment-sized washing machine but no dryer: I use drying racks. I'll make you pancakes every Sunday if you want some.

I don't mind friends and normal social lives but lets keep it sane and safe here. Hard drugs bother me a LOT. I'm an omnivore, prefer smoking on the porch to keep the place from being all stinky, and I will be glad to answer any other questions, except things like "Is it a safe neighborhood?" because really, there why are you asking the guy that is trying to rent the room? According to Google Maps, the apartment is .75 miles from CTA/Blue Line (Logan Square stop) and .5 miles from one of the Metra stops that goes downtown and out somewhere like Fox Lake (I never go that direction myself.) and the Fullerton bus is only a half block away, but thankfully far enough that you don't hear the Fullerton traffic. You can click on 'VIEW ALL' below to see a few more pictures of the place, or just make an appointment to come by and see it.

I have beds in every bedroom, so you can move in with nothing more than your suitcase, a toothbrush and of course, the rent money. If you want a dresser or a nightstand or a lamp, I will move things around so you can have them. Consider the room furnished. If you wanted to bring some of your own things, that's negotiable as long as we're not jamming the front room or living room with your things.

There is no reason to waste money - get a cheap place for the short term! If you are buying a condo and need a place for a week, just visiting, or something else like that, you should stay with me. If you just need a cheap place to crash, this is for you! If you think this is so cheap b/c it is terrible, you are wrong! It's a unique situation.

The Area:

The building is in a very peaceful part of Roger's Park, near single family homes priced at upwards of $800k. Right down the block is brand new Dominic's grocery store. Across the street is an ultra-clean and neat business that generates no noise - this is actually good because it cuts down on congestion since no one lives there. In this part of Roger's Park, there are no goons hanging out on the streets, nor or there any crapp liquor stores or anything like that. The streets are tree-lined. Save money instead of wasting it on rent! Street parking is nicely available. Couple minutes walk to Roger's Park Metra, or Red line. All utilities included, including broadband internet, but except extra utilities like a space heater if you want it (the radiator heat is free). You can find cheaper places, but I am quite positing the place will either not be as nice, will be in a worse area (it can change w/in a couple blocks), or the roomate will be a loser. If you live with me, we can both enjoy a peaceful place. When you are pricing places, consider that since I am paying for Internet, cooking gas, and electric, you are actually getting around $50 of utilities included, at least.

I'm a 25 year old female grad student working on my MFA and I'm looking for a roommate to share my awesome apartment. It's a big 2 bedroom apartment - both bedrooms are large, it also has a big living room and dining room, and a great vintage kitchen (see pictures). It's a little bit funky - the bathroom is tiled in purple and green and the toilet is pink. It's completely furnished except for what you would need for your bedroom. It's a top floor apartment, which is great because you don't hear people tromping around overhead. It's a 5 minute walk to the Loyola Red Line stop, on a quiet street in a quiet building. It's a great neighborhood - it's very laid back and street parking is free and easy, but bars and some really fantastic restaurants are within a 10 minute walk. Rent is $500 each a month, heat and water included; cooking gas, electric, and internet run about $50 a month. Extra storage (free) and coin laundry in the basement.

As I said, I'm a grad student in my third and final year of school. I spend a lot of time at school in the Loop, and when I am in the apartment I generally need it to be a calm and quiet place to work. Every now and then I like to throw a big party or have friends over, though generally I'm pretty studious. Ideally, I'm looking for another grad student or someone else who is very invested in their work, whatever it may be. I'm pretty liberal and will do best sharing living quarters with a like-minded person. I'm relatively neat, during finals things can get a little messy, but it is important to me to be respectful of common spaces, and I would ask that a roommate do the same and share in cleaning responsibilities. I'm smart, laid-back, and unconventional, and would be interested in living with someone similar. I listen to a lot of NPR, try to stay in touch with world affairs, do my best to be eco-friendly, and don't have a TV. I grow herbs and sometimes vegetables on the windowsills and enjoy watching reruns of MacGyver on hulu.

I'm looking for a female roommate. Sexual preference, etc. doesn't matter as long as you're respectful of me, although I would probably give preference to someone my age. I'm not willing to live with someone who has a significant other over all the time (occasionally is fine, of course).
