Our client is an international options market maker and trader of exchange listed options and equities with offices in the US and Germany. They provide direct market access to a small group of end-users with high expectations.
Type of contract: Permanent
Your Tasks:
- Operational support of Unix trading environment and applications
- Provide first-level technical support for trading staff: monitor the trading environment, identify and report system failures and performance issues to end-users, troubleshoot and resolve system/application problems
- Performance monitoring and analysis of the environment
- Development of procedures for trading system initialization, shut down and recovery operations
- Development of shell scripts for monitoring and reporting processes
Your Profile:
- BS in Computer Science or 2+ years professional experience as UNIX system administrator
- Excellent know-how in Unix (Solaris and Linux RedHat preferred)
- Very strong Perl and shell programming skills
- Experience in financial industry a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to work well with end-users
- US Work permit required
