I'm a 25-year-old working a stable, 9-5 job downtown. As a roommate I'm fun, friendly, and very responsible...never a late bill on my end. For fun I like to explore the city...when I'm not out and about, I like to read, cook, watch tv, do yoga. I'd have small groups of people over occasionally, and maybe a dinner party once in a great while, but I tend to have my fun around town and not in the apartment. If you want to hang out occasionally, cook a meal together or something, that's cool...if you want to keep to yourself that's fine, too. I've lived in both situations and they both work.

I have one very well-behaved kitten. He is very sweet and not really mischevious at all. He likes to hang out with me most of the time, so he won't bother you. He's fixed, has shots, etc. I clip his nails regularly and he barely sheds...I bought some lint rollers when I got him and have barely used them, and I wear a lot of black! Anyway, the point is, if you have nice furniture you have nothing to fear from him! And if you've always wanted a kitten but don't want the hassle of raising one, here you go...all the cuteness and none of the work. Obviously if there was a pet deposit I'd take care of that.

As far as practical living stuff, I'm fine with some clutter, as long as we take care of the big things regularly...taking out trash, doing dishes, cleaning the bathroom, etc. Since I keep a normal schedule, some quiet late at night is pretty important. I don't smoke and wouldn't want it in the apartment.

I'm looking at a few areas...Ukrainian Village and Lakeview are my two ideal locations. I'm most concerned with being close to the el and being able to get downtown quickly, since that's my commute.

I'm a female and would prefer another female, but depending on the person it's negotiable.

The moving truck is loaded and I'm ready to head up to Chicago from Oklahoma City! Only problem is that the apartment I had pick out, and signed a lease on, when I was up there last weekend is no longer available. I'm in a little bit of a panic right now because I have to be out of my Oklahoma City apartment no later then the Dec 28th. I don't know Chicago neighborhoods AT ALL, but I'd like to be close to downtown, or at least a train stop to get downtown. I hear just north of downtown is a good part of town.

I've got a one bedroom full of furniture right now; 42" plasma tv, matching TV stand and coffee table, extra long couch, 2 lounge chairs, large computer desk and a queen size bed. Everything I have is dark and modern from Ikea. I don't mind sharing the furniture at all!

I am getting moved to Chicago for work starting February 1st and I am looking for a place to live. I will actually be working in Schaumburg, but I figured I needed to live in Chicago because I'm not ready to settle into the burbs yet. I am looking for a male roommate of similar age that either already has a room and is looking for a roommate or someone that is also looking for a place and we can look together.

The max rent I would be willing to pay is $900 a month per person but would prefer something more in the $800 range, I would prefer to have in-unit w/d, dishwasher, relatively recent construction or rehabbed, 2 or more bathrooms, walk up or brownstone would be nice also. I am pretty clean for the most part especially in the common areas and would prefer someone that is the same way or at least not a total slob.

I am pretty laid-back and quiet at times but I do enjoy going out and having a good time. I work a 9-5 so I would probably keep it pretty low key during the week but definitely enjoy going out on the weekends. I enjoy watching sports, going to sporting events (FYI Sox fan), music and concerts, staying active, exploring the city, trying new things, etc. I am 420 friendly, only partake occasionally these days so I would at least prefer someone with similar views.
