DESCRIPTION:
Local school supply company is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic candidate for this position. This job classification is accountable for promoting and selling educational products, services, and programs to customers in a specific geographic area(s). Customers typically include Chicago public schools, private and charter schools including religious schools, park district facilities, day care centers, preschools, libraries, and religious institutions.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
General Experience:
Five (5) years of experience in sales or a closely related field. Experience in outside sales preferred.
Substitution Allowed:
1.College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Incumbents in this class are required to travel.
Desired Qualifications:
Ability to write and speak Spanish preferred.
