Company has a client that is a well established Private Equity firm.
We are looking for a entry level to mid level consultant that will work out of our client's office in downtown Chicago. The client is a high touch, very important client and the ideal candidate will have a “customer is always right attitude”.
The expectation is that the consultant will be in the office every day but we are envisioning that the workload will require approximately 20 hours per week be dedicated to this client. This will vary greatly from week to week, but the key is that the person is sitting there in the office to respond to requests as they come up.
The position is not intended to be totally reactive. There will be larger IT projects and initiatives for the client that will likely have completion time lines of any where from 1-3 days to 1-3 weeks.
Time not spent supporting this client will be spent working with other company projects.
Extremely professional image, the client often has clients and potential business partners in the office.
Attire is never less than business casual and some days (3-5 days per month) will require a suit.
Skills
Ability to to solve problems and come up with ways to improve business functions using information technology
Reporting and Data Analysis using Excel as a minimum, ideal candidate will be comfortable writing and running reports using Crystal Reports, Access reports, or other BI tools.
Advanced skills with MS Office
Basic windows desktop trouble shooting skills
Basic windows networking skills, does not need to be an MSCE but should have a pretty good idea about what an MCSE can do and when to call one in
Basic understanding of how databases work…not necessary to be a DBA but should understand data structures and basic rules of database design
Previous experience in a financial services environment
Programming skills not required but comfort with programming concepts (scripts vs applications) and web based technology (understanding of moving parts of a web based app)
Experience with Salesforce.com would be beneficial but not required
