Job Summary
The Field Service Technician reports to the Business Services Manager or Branch Office Lead and is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a variety of electronic equipment both in-house and at customer sites. Field travel requirements are up to 50%, both day and some overnight. Troubleshoot and repair to board level and limited component level repair when required. Service, calibrate and repair electro-mechanical equipment. Interface with customers in person, in writing, and on the phone.
Duties and Responsibilities
§ Services and repairs entire product line of equipment both in-house and at customer site.
§ Meets turnaround and overall service goals.
§ Works with team leaders to ensure key measures are being achieved.
§ Provides customer service support.
§ Performs calibrations on precision measuring equipment.
§ Provides training to customers on service and calibration
Prerequisite Skills and Education
§ Associates degree in electronics or 3 - 5 years experience in an electronics repair environment.
§ Good customer interaction and customer support skills.
§ Must have strong math skills including a working knowledge of algebra and basic statistics.
§ Must be mechanically inclined and able to perform assembly/disassembly of electro-mechanical systems and subassemblies.
§ Must be adaptable, punctual, able to follow instructions, and detail-oriented.
§ Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and be self-motivated.
§ Must be able to lift 45 pounds.
§ Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows based applications.
