Fast growing computer and laptop service shop needs 1 FULL TIME experienced Desktop and Laptop Technician ($12-$14/hour ) and 1 FULL TIME Front Desk / Entry Level PC Technician ($10-$12).
PC Technician - Job Description :
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues on laptops and desktops
- Clean computers of viruses and spyware
- Perform Break-Fix procedures: Disassemble desktops and laptops, diagnose for defective parts, replace or repair parts, reassemble, and perform testing or burn-in procedures.
- Install hard drives, RAM memory, operating systems and track down drivers
- Conduct imaging procedure or OEM recovery if necessary.
- Perform software, upgrade, and hardware installations on laptops and desktops
- Any additional tasks as requested.
PC Technician - Necessary Skills
- Minimum 2 years experience in the field
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Good knowledge of Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7/MAC OS operating systems and computer and laptop parts
- Attention to detail and quality of work
- Very good communication skills and ability to work with little supervision;
- Previous experience working with all types of laptops and desktops
- Team player, quick learner, dependable, and energetic person;
Front Desk / Entry Level PC Technician - Job Description:
- Answers phones and gives customers details about existing service orders;
- Offers support to customers at drop-off and pick-up time;
- List laptop / desktop parts on eBay, inventory tasks and ship / receive parts
- Require to work on Saturdays (10AM-5PM)
- Any additional tasks as requested.
Front Desk / Entry Level PC Technician - Necessary skills:
- Computer /laptops components knowledge
- Good communication skills and ability to work with little supervision
- Very good customer service skills and ability to interact with different types of personalities
- Location: North Chicago
