Brief Summary of Position
The Senior IT Support Analyst is responsible for providing the best possible technical support to Geneva Trading management and staff. It is critical that this person be quick to respond to the needs of users and show an eagerness to resolve and document technical issues as necessary. The Analyst will be expected to assist with projects as required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Hardware set-up and support
Software installation and maintenance
Network connectivity and maintenance
Quickly respond to questions and problems from Geneva traders and employees
Troubleshoot hardware, software, simple network and system issues as required
Research, document, resolve and/or elevate failures and bugs appropriately
Assist in system upgrades, conversions and other maintenance
Manage file backup schema and process
Oversee the management of hardware inventory and rotations
Purchasing of IT-related items according to company guidelines
Conduct new employee/trader orientation as related to IT functions
Support and maintain internal systems (CRM, Issue Tracking)
Will act as a lead in directing the work of others on IT projects
Will act as primary technical contact/lead for some small to medium size cross functional projects requiring interaction with other senior technical team members, business leads and outside vendors
Provide constructive recommendations for process and procedure improvements at Geneva
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Should possess extensive experience working with various ISVs and in-house developed trading applications
Market data, exchange and feed handler management experience highly desirable
Experience working with and supporting various trading analytics and news services such as CQG, Bloomberg, Reuters and others.
A well rounded knowledge of Information Technology
Windows 2003 and XP
Microsoft Office
Microsoft Exchange

Excellent communication skills
Educational/Experience Requirements
A two or four year college degree
3 years or more of financial industry experience
