Due to continuous growth and success, Sun Trading LLC is seeking an experienced purchasing/procurement specialist to step into a newly created role within the Technology Department. This person will lead the procurement and inventory management efforts across the company.
1. Procure equipment, materials, parts and services in a trading technology environment
2. Source, evaluate and procure needed equipment and inventory in order to meet required delivery dates in support of a fast-paced trading technology environment
3. Source, evaluate and negotiate in order to meet financial targets or optimize pricing strategies
4. Ensure that suppliers understand requirements and meet agreed upon deliverables on a consistent and ongoing basis
5. Establish and maintain strong mutual relationships with key suppliers, while ensuring the suppliers meet contract or vendor requirements
6. Perform objective vendor reviews on an ongoing or time appropriate basis
7. Establish and maintain strong internal relationships, ensuring ongoing knowledge of business needs and their translation to procurement needs. Anticipate inventory needs proactively
8. Work closely with Accounting to ensure inventory and purchasing data and details are made available according to Accounting cycles and requirements. Act as point person for relevant accounting-related matters
9. Establish and maintain an inventory management database, working closely with IT Support teams to track and tag assets
10. Establish and maintain a contract and renewals database, managing content and key dates proactively
11. Keep abreast of relevant industry trends and product knowledge across categories
