The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is seeking a dynamic person to assist in rehearsals, build and performance run of productions at the Festival as assigned by Associate Producer—Stage Management. This position is responsible for the creation of prop lists, run lists and quick-change costume plots.
Each year, OSF presents an eight-and-a-half-month season of eleven plays in three theatres plus extensive educational offerings to students, teachers and all playgoers.
Other duties include but are not limited to assembling script with all information necessary to running of show backstage, assemble Text Bible in collaboration with the Literary department, supervising backstage during performances, bringing rehearsal props and costume pieces to rehearsal rooms, preparing and striking rehearsal rooms, maintaining rehearsal reports, and overseeing run and wardrobe crews operations to ensure a smooth performance run.
Two to three years of professional theatre experience or strong experience in University theatre required. Experience with Shakespeare plays is required. Touring experience is highly desirable. College degree in Stage Management or work equivalent is required. The successful candidate must have proficient computer skills in MS Office suite and have the physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds to carry props, move furniture pieces, costume racks, etc. Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with clients, customers, co-workers and management is a must.
