Seeking one Non-Equity actor aged 40s-60s for the role of Father Tom Carty, military chaplain at the rank of commandant and close friend to the Butler Family. A self-aware man with a professional, breezy manner.
Rehearsals begin Monday, January 18. Sixteen performances will run Thursdays-Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm, February 18-March 14 at Trap Door Theatre, 1655 W. Cortland. There are no stipends available for participants in this production.
* Accurately and consistently executing the classic Beatles sounds including organs, horns and orchestral sounds heard throughout their discography.
* Utilizing an on stage laptop and midi keyboard provided by the band.
* Provide supporting percussion sounds including tambourine, hand claps, cowbell, shakers and bongos.
* Operations on stage including theatrical props and stage monitor mixing.
* Assisting the band with equipment setup/breakdown.
* Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Position Specifications
* Previous keyboard experience in a professional live situation preferred
* Computer literate in sound mixing/editing/sampling software. Kontakt experience a plus
* Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced live stage environment are critical.
* Excellent communication skills responding to emails and phone calls promptly.

* Required to be available for nights and weekends, especially during the summer months.

Ben is one of the lead character's friends in his graduate days. Like most of his friends, he is from a wealthy family and is an alum of the same Ivy League U. He's level-headed, organized and trustworthy enough for the lead character to appoint him the 'manager' of most of his big house parties.
Nadine - Day Player / FEMALE / 22 TO 26
Nadine is part of the lead character's entourage in his graduate days. Like all in their clique, she was born into wealth and attends the same Ivy League U. Nadine epitomizes "all of this and brains too" -- highly intelligent, down-to-earth, well-read, and extremely attractive. She has her act together in every way. She should be of Jewish or Latin descent and has an "earthy" feel about her without being pretentious.
The actual scene will be performed twice in front of my class.

One (1) female and one (1) male actor needed. Late 20’s, early 30’s preferred.
Concept: We are shooting a ‘live’ 10 minute talk show. The show is similar to the television show Dinner and a Movie. There will be rehearsals on Saturday, November 28th in the morning for about an hour and a half (at the Loop location).
Filming location will be downtown in Loop at Lake and Wabash. Must be able to arrive at filming location on your own.
Some experience required but must be able to speak clearly. Actors must be able to portray a talk show host image, act bubbly, be comfortable presenting a product demonstration (don’t worry this is easy – you’ll be preparing some type of food and talking about it – we’ll supply all the lines), and finally, comfortable working with a large production team.
The show will be filmed as a ‘live’ show – meaning it will be more like theatre with cameras, and less like film where we would stop filming if a mistake is made.
Unfortunately we will not be able to pay you cash, but we will provide food and beverage day of shoot, a DVD copy of the finished commercial in December 2009, and a fun night of shooting!

Sean is a man struggling to cope with his responsibility in the accidental death of his daughter. A year ago, Sean was driving his car with his daughter, Lilly, in the passenger side when the car skidded on ice and crashed into a lake. Now living a guilt-torn life, Sean has reoccurring dreams of the accident and is convinced Lilly has come back to life to claim him. Sean then tries convincing his wife, Christine, that their daughter is alive, but Christine cannot handle to continue living with the man who killed her daughter and becomes suicidal. Meanwhile, Sean finds clues proving Lilly’s existence and returns to the lake to find her.

Sean
He is a white male with blonde/ dark blonde hair, a medium build, and is in his late twenties/ early thirties. He works as doctor and had a daughter, Lilly, with his wife, Christine, and was able to find them a nice, peaceful suburban home far from the busy city life. Sean is a calm, quiet man whose life gets thrown into chaos as the guilt of his daughter’s death eats away at his heart, confusing him and causing him to question his actions the day Lilly died. His fatherhood and warm personality follow him wherever he goes.
Christine
She is a white female with long dark brown hair and fair features. Christine was once a kind, loving housewife, but as her daughter was taken from her, she feels as if her purpose in the world was taken away as well. She spends her days sitting quietly in her home, reminiscing of Lilly with the occasional drink in the afternoon. She is very quiet, cold, and distant from Sean due to her resentment towards him letting their daughter die, but she loves him nonetheless and remains a true mother.
Lilly
Sean and Christine’s six year old daughter. Lilly is like a ray of light and energy, her sweet personality and smile turn the coldest days into summer. She has sandy brown hair and blue eyes. She lives through Sean’s dreams and memories and returns as a dark, pale ghostlike resemblance as he believes she has come back to haunt him.

MORE INFO: I'm a UIC web developer and producer of an online tool for couples with Sickle Cell Disease or Trait who want to learn more about their reproductive choices. On this website, there will be videos and audio clips. This is about 3-4 pages of total reading.
My stuff has an eclectic sound, so I'm looking for all kinds of musicians...not just guitar, bass, keyboard and drums, but hopefully strings, horn, woodwind and various percussions, as well. From backing singers, the most important thing is having experience singing different harmonic parts, as with choral groups or in musicals. I've met with several singers who had beautiful singing voices, but a lot of trouble not slipping into the other singers' parts.

LOGLINE:
Two inseparable young friends explore the joys of life, until life reaches one of them.
The call is for:
1. Roger (8-12 yrs) - A young boy who spends an entire day enjoying life with his imaginary friend, Oliver
2. Roger (20-25 yrs) - The older version of the young Roger whom is revealed in the film's climax.
3. Oliver (8-12 yrs) - The best friend of Roger. His actions are all in Roger's imagination.
4. Older doctor (40-45 yrs) - The man who speaks of Roger's dark past.
5. Younger doctor (20-25 yrs) - A rookie doctor who shares a conversation with the older doctor.
6. Mother (30-35 yrs ) - A woman that seems to be terrified of the site of Roger as he and Oliver enter a cafe.
7. Son (8-12 yrs) - The young son of the Mother. He is guarded by the Mother as a sign of protection from Roger and Oliver.
8. Waiter (18-20 yrs) - A young man who seems confused as he takes an order for both Roger and Oliver at a local cafe.

Moment Capacity is a drama set in a small-town, which explores the universal struggle of empathy.
CHRISTY, a despondent young woman, escapes a bad relationship and returns to her small-town home, hoping to find stability and a new beginning. But she discovers TOM, one of her dad’s war buddies, is in town for a visit. Her parents seem ill-equipped to deal with her depression - especially when they find out she’s pregnant. When she later suffers a miscarriage, she finds little solace in her parents’ clumsy attempts at empathy, but a small measure of hope in her connection with Tom.

The character uses his lighter to navigate across the room to the kitchen to get a flashlight. The character leaves the apartment and locks the door. Continues downstairs to the breaker box in the basement and flip the switches. The character returns upstairs to the apartment to find the door broke open. Inside the apartment, all the possessions are gone.
