UIC is seeking volunteers (ages 18-60). If you have ever had a head injury of any severity, including concussions, even without loss of consciousness, please call us and we would be happy to talk with you further.
If you have certain problems that have persisted after the head injury, you may qualify for an NIMH sponsored study to assess a treatment to improve function after any severity of traumatic brain injury (TBI).
We are also seeking healthy volunteers (ages 18-60) without any history of head injuries. The evaluation for healthy volunteers and those with a head injury includes written tests of mental function, functional MRI, and eye movement testing. We reimburse for your time.
For further information on any of these studies, contact Sydney Wojtowicz (sydney@uic.edu) at (312) 355-4956 or Eric Van Raay (ecv@uic.edu) at (312) 355-5017 in the Psychiatry Department.
