The problem of hunger in America is persistent. Each year, The Salvation Army serves nearly 2 Million meals to the less fortunate in the Chicago area. In 1938, The Salvation Army in Chicago held the first Donut Day in the nation. Each year since then, the Army has hit the streets in early June to ask people to open their wallets to support its programs. Help us increase awareness, raise funds, and fight hunger on June 6th 2008 by joining us to tag on the street corners at our kick-off event. Please reply and let us know you want to help.
Date: Friday June 6, 2008
