The Webmaster / SEO specialist is responsible for ensuring that our Web site is easy to navigate and addresses the needs of the client and its customers.
Also responsible for web site performance, to ensure it functions properly and can be accessed quickly by as many people as possible.

Main responsibilities:
1. Develop ongoing SEO/SEM to improve search engine ranking and sales conversions
2. Develop useful Google Analytics reports and generate reports for the administration
3. Provide competitor analysis pertaining to SEO/SEM and web analytics
4. Update products, prices, pages and specs on the web site
5. Update and maintain all URLs
Webmaster must:
• Update information on Web site and databases
• Check and maintain links regularly for proper performance
• Check site for bugs or other problems such as images that do not load properly or quickly
• Report on web analytics, SEO and SEM initiatives for websites to place well in search engines
Potential candidate must have a working knowledge of XHTML, HTML, PHP/MySQL, WYSIWYG interfaces, Google Analytics, page rank tracking software and the basics of working in a Linux server environment. Positive skills or interests are Zen Cart, Media Temple hosting, YouTube marketing and Web 2.0 initiatives.
Paid training will be provided. Position can be full time or part time. Independent contractors will spend at least 2 days per week working on site. Applicant must be located in the Chicago area. Pay is competitive.
