I was wondering if there is interest for setting up a team for sand volleyball Fridays, in New Lenox.
As soon as we have 6 women and 6 men, I will register the team (Hopefully, registration will still be open). Then, I'll setup a paypal link to pay (or Email you my address to pay by check). Cost will be about $20 per person. (You don't have to pay until we get enough players).
If we get another 6 women and 6 men, I will register a 2nd team.
I will be closing this registration May, 18. This will give us time to get registered by May 23.
Lions Den Sand Volleyball Courts This summer classic received a new home at the Lions Den. Sign your team up at the park district and your team will have the luxury of playing on brand new lighted courts. These leagues will have an 8-game season followed by a single-elimination, end-of-the-season tournament. A $50 deposit will be required to hold a place in the league and out-of-district fees apply for all teams. There will be a captain?s meeting before the start of the season. Each player will receive a league T-shirt. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top two teams in each division. Games times: 6:30pm, 7:20pm, 8:10pm and 9:00pm.

Outdoors will include: 1) Hiking. 2) Camping. 3) Canoeing. 4) Cycling. 5) Etc. Socials will include: 1) Dining. 2) Festivals. 3) Picnics. 4) Comedy Clubs. 5) Concerts. 6) Game Nights. 7) Etc. We have no membership dues. So why not join us and see what the SW Suburbs have to offer. Why not join our team? We are looking for members to join Organizational Teams. Basically, you will join a team with 2 to 4 other people and your goal is to setup a couple of meetups a month. Also, we are looking for Team Captains. PLEASE NOTE: It has come to my attention that the 26th is Memorial Day so I changed the meetup day. I hope this will not deter members who were planning on attending the 26th. We will be discussing Taking on the big boys or why feminism is good for families, business and the nation by Ellen Bravo. I started reading this book and it is wonderful. It helps put feminist thinking into action. It gives us all suggestions for combating discrimination against women. Also, we will be discussing our active meetup for June. It is too caotic to plan one at this point for May. PLEASE ALSO NOTE: I will start charging a nominal fee ($1) for meetups starting in May to offset the costs of upkeep of the listserv.
