Hi! I am a DePaul junior living in Lincoln Park. I am looking for a family with part time babysitting needs and/or just for a family looking for an occasional babysitter!

I have 7+ years of babysitting experience, with great references. I love being around/with children. I am very caring & fun, but very responsible at the same time. I have experience with all ages, from babies all the way to tweens. I have babysat for a family of 4 for about 4 years but I am moving too far away from them. I also do consistent sitting for a young boy and his elderly grandmother, I also watched them overnight when their parents go out of town. I love to get out of the house and go to parks, the zoo, museums, etc!

I would like to find a family to have a long term commitment with. During the school year (starting in September) my classes are on Tuesday and Thursday only, so I would have availability during the weekends, all week nights, and MWF day & night.

Throughout this summer, (starting May 19), I have unlimited availability, but I am going to be out of town from Jun 12-18 and also approximately July 21-Aug 4 (possibly not that long). I am hoping that this won't be a huge problem, so I thought I would mention it in advance.

Owen is a very sweet and mild tempered baby. He will attend a parent-infant program with me 1 day per week at a local Montessori preschool. We will also participate in a number of playgroups around town. He loves to listen to music and dance and he is learning to swim. As such, we would like a nanny that shares his interests in swimming and music.

Our ideal nanny must have experience and a sincere interest in toddlers. She should be responsible, active, kind, and patient with a strong work ethic. We will need our nanny to work 30 hours a week, TWTh preferably from 9:00-6 p.m. Owen�s grandma cares for him on Mondays and Fridays, occasionally, we may need our nanny to work a Friday when his grandma is unavailable.

I have worked as a nanny/babysitter for the past year and I am looking for a part-time/full-time position for the summer.
I have come across several families in need of childcare, however, the pay rate that they are willing to pay is very low.
I worked for one family who paid $300 for 20 hours a week and another family who pays $12/hour. Is it outlandish to ask for at least $10/hour? Some families are paying less than minimum wage to watch their children. Why would you want to have someone watch your child for that? I guess I look at like this, you get what you pay for, and I can't imagine watching a child for 25-30 hours per week only making $125.00. Please help with some information because I just don't understand how anyone could work that amount of hours and only receive that amount of money. We as nannies/babsitters are caring for you children and in essence helping them grow and learn. I don't understand how families could not pay them a little bit more!

My name is Dorian, and I am a college student home for the summer. I am babysitting on Tuesdays and Fridays for one family, but I would love to schedule yours in for other days of the week!

I have experience with children of all ages, and am comfortable with pets.

We have pets, and are pet friendly if you have them.

I know first aid and CPR, but my certification IS expired. I just haven't found time to take the class again.
