If you have flexibility to stay after 9pm , it may be longer on occasional Mondays with increased pay ($8/hour)...it would likely be just an extra 30-60 minutes, and I would ask you in advance if you could stay longer.

My girls are happy kids who love to laugh, play, color, cut paper, read books, do puzzles, dance to videos, etc. My older daughter is in Kindergarten.

Responsibilities include finishing up coordinating dinner with my girls, finishing homework with my older daughter as needed, playing with the girls (low key activities like coloring or board games) and participating in the girls' bedtime routine. This includes reading books downstairs, then transitioning upstairs to brush teeth, go potty, wash hands/face, go to bed. The girls go to bed at the same time, by 8:30pm-ish.

I am looking for someone with experience who understands and can recognize children's abliity to distract their babysitter into straying from the routine-my girls will likely ask to do other things, like run around, play hide and seek, etc., but it is important to say no, so they don't get all riled up before bedtime. This is a divorced family that has experienced challenges with different rules in the 2 different households, so routine in my home is very important. If you are unable to manage sticking to a routine because you want to give in to the sweet smiling cherubic faces of little ones, then this is not the job for you. They would take advantage of you and we would all be unhappy.

SO, if you think you would be a good fit for us, let me know! Let's see...I'm a physical therapist, and I work in a nursing home. We have been living in a different home from the girls' dad since August 08. Things are challenging at times, but we do all right!
