1991 Range Rover Classic - $2300 (Niles)

I have a 1991 Range Rover for sale. I picked this up a few months ago as a 4x4 winter commuter but I have two other vehicles, so I don't use it for much outside of some local driving.

The Rover is in fair cosmetic condition. It has some dings and some rust but nothing terrible. The interior is in decent shape and all the leather seats are intact. I've fixed a bunch of mechanical stuff over the last few months. It's always started and run just fine but there were 'nits' that needed to be fixed. The biggest one was the heater core and fan needed to be rebuilt (no heat and one fans speed when I bought it). It cost about $400 and 12 hours of my time but now there's plenty of heat! I have also fixed the sunroof, rear hatch, temperature sender, temperature thermistor, tachometer, thermostat, temperature gauge, some new hoses, fan resistor, idle air controller, idle adjustment, sunroof gasket, coolant flush and changed the oil. All other switches and electronics work. The power locks work with the exception of the hatch which needs to be locked manually by a key. The Michelin tires are decent. The driveline has been reliable. The low-high range shifter engages easily. I just installed 6.5" Infiniti speakers so the tunes are much better.

The Rover runs well and does not leak much at all. The notoriously leaky power steering system in Range Rovers has not been an issue on this one.

The only issue right now is that the rear, driver side door takes a little effort to open. The door opens fine from the inside but the outside latch takes a bit of effort.

It'd make someone a good commuter or fun to drive suv. I uncovered some of its history based on receipts that were left in the vehicle. It's been local for all of its life and appears to have been decently maintained. Newer parts installed by a previous owner include a water pump, alternator and upper/lower coolant hoses. I have the original owners manual and some other maintenance parts to go with it.

Please email with questions or for pics. $2300 obo. I'd also be interested in trade or partial trade for a motorcycle (dual-sport, enduro or similar street bikes preferred) or 4x4 ATV.
