For sale 1976 Pontiac Trans am hurst T-tops 4 speed you are looking at a 1976 Pontiac Trans am. This car has the original Hurst T-tops which were very rare in this first year of production on the t-tops (making this car more desireable than most 76's)my boss bought this car a few years ago in Kansas City and drove it home to so. Wisconsin. He drove it thru so Missouri on the way home. The whole trip took about 10 hours and the car ran fine. the only issue was when the car ran on the highway for long periods of time it would develope a thump in the rr tire when you turned hard right?? it never does it in local traffic so we couldn't diagnose this problem. my boss took the entire 4 speed set-up out of another 76 t/a donor car and we installed it in this car. He prefers most cars in his collection to be manual trans automobiles. this conversion looks and functions as factory equipment. The guy my boss got the car from said this car was very rare because most (if not all) t-top cars were supposed to be special ed (black/gold) This car appeared to be factory starlight black with white seats. We had this car stripped and painted basecoat/clearcoat in starlight black. as you can see by the pics this car turned out awesome. the only patch work was the bottom piece on the rear quarters behind the wheels. the rest of the car was in great shape once we stripped the poor condition factory paint of the car. The interior is original except the seats were re-upholstered in white deluxe seats covers. We have the bird for the hood but haven't had the chance to install it yet this car can be sold with the 4 speed set-up or can be put back to factory auto trans due to it's age this car is being sold as-is no warranties expressed or implied Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. we will gladly help load the car for transport. true numbers matching 455-4 speed car. this is the last true muscle car of the 60's and 70's

my boss bought this car years ago for a parts car. the car turned out to be to nice to dismantle (even back then when they weren't bringing any money) so he found a different front clip to finish his white 76 t/a. the car sat in the body shop until 2 years ago and then it was moved to our shop. this is a numbers matching 455 4 speed car. built for speed with few options, there is no p/w pdl a/c, but it is well equipped with power having the factory original 455 motor. this car has 79,xxx original miles according to the previous owner and we believe it to be true.ocassionally we put a battery in it to move it around and it starts and runs fine. i just installed a new u-joint in it and the car looks pretty nice underneath, i don't believe there are any holes underneath the car. the worst damage i can see on the car is a dent behind the passenger side door. with some rust starting due to the damage. there is some rust on the bottom edge of the fenders and rear quarters but for the most part this car looks pretty good for a 32 year old car. it does have the rare factory honeycomb rims that look to be in good original condition. the original radio has been replaced with an alpine cassette player using the original factory holes (they appear to be uncut).
this car is a perfect candidate for a restoration. a solid start to the last true muscle car of that era.
