1 Assistant Teacher, Temporary

Summary:
The Infant Welfare Society of Evanston is currently taking applications for a Temporary Assistant Teacher. This program provides full-day child care for children from 6-weeks to 5 years of age.

Qualifications:
Experience working with children under the age of three and their families. Knowledge of current theories and practices in the field of Infant Toddler Care and Education. Ability to work in a multicultural, interdisciplinary environment. Ability to work cooperatively with others in teams. Patience, maturity, and a love of very young children.

Education:
Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development (CD), OR an Associate’s Degree or at least 60 semester college credits and a minimum of 30 College credit hours in ECE or CD AND 2 years of experience working in an early childhood program.

Organization:
The Infant Welfare Society of Evanston is a 93-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to early childhood care for infants and toddlers as well as family support services that enable families to provide the stability and care that their children need. The services of the Infant Welfare Society of Evanston are focused on those children and families who are most at-risk including those who are living in poverty, teen parents, and families with children living with disabilities.
