Our client is a leading international manufacturer of electrical and
mechanical motion control components. From electric motors and
generators to gear reducers, and electronic switchgear, their products
are often concealed within, but essential to the function of much of
the equipment powering the world. Their products are found in home
furnaces, pumps, elevators, conveyors, x-ray machines, office
equipment, power stations and thousands of other critical uses.
We are searching for an Applications Engineer for their Wausau, WI
facility.
The critical function of this role is the design of three (3) phase
electric motor windings (low and medium voltage) from concept or redesign.
You will establish production test limits for new electrical
designs. First point of contact for customer application questions on
electric motors. Maintain motor performance database. Design new
motor laminations for high efficiency (slot geometry, air gap, etc.).
Provide electrical designs for new product development projects.
Experience Required: Strong electrical design experience in rotating
electrical machines (motors or generators). Application experience in
rotating electrical machines.
Additional Experience Desired: Mandarin Chinese language skills.
Theoretical analysis in electrical FEA, lamination design, electrical
theory, etc. Permanent magnet motor design experience.
