Brenda Elsagher knows cancer’s sorrows. But she also knows the disease can bring a certain kind of joy too. This author of Bedpan Banter will share her cancer survivor story – full of creativity and humor amidst the pain – at this year’s Welles Lecture.
For more than 20 years, the Welles Lecture has been one of Lake Forest Hospital’s signature cancer educational events. This year’s speaker will give an uplifting presentation, promising to leave event guests with smiles on their faces.
You can join in the laughter on Tuesday, October 20 at Lake Forest Hospital’s Health Education Center. Come for refreshments at 6:30 p.m. and for the presentation at 7 p.m. The first 150 guests to register will receive a free copy of Bedpan Banter.
Call (847) 535-6112 to register for this free event. Look to Lake Forest Hospital’s Web site, lfh.org, for more information.
The annual Welles Lecture is sponsored by an endowment from the family of Betty & Edward Welles. This is just one of the many ways in which Lake Forest Hospital educates the community.
