Hi! My name is Kristen. I've been playing the violin for 13 years. I'm classically trained, but have also had some fiddle training and have spent a summer in India studying music, too. I now perform with the Evanston Symphony Orchestra.
I strive for students to enjoy lessons, to be constantly improving, and to learn to be expressive while performing. I believe in creating a musical foundation of classical performance and technique, but am always excited to support students who are interested in branching out to other styles, too.
Additionally, because I have worked doing violin repair and bow rehairs, I am frequently able to offer my students affordable and convenient repairs.
