The Association for Challenge Course Technology is a trade association of 1700 members, serving the challenge course industry. This small staff office is currently located in the northern suburbs of Chicago.
The Executive Director must have a wide variety of skills, and the ability to move from details to a big picture viewpoint. Skills required in the job include public relations, outreach and networking with other organizations and associations, budgeting and financial management, public speaking, presentations, oversight, planning and management of association events and conferences, working with the Board of Directors and Committees (staffed by volunteers), staff supervision, writing articles for the ACCT newsletter and other publications, project management, and extensive communication with the public.
Ideal start date is February 1, 2010, with the first week spent in Atlanta at the ACCT conference.
