I'm a 28 year old male and I've been working at Northwestern for the past 3 years. I'm looking for a roommate starting Jan 1st. My current roommate is leaving Northwestern after the quarter and I love this apt too much to move. You'd be able to move in a few days early as well.

The apt is on 2133 Ridge Ave. (sort of near Ridge / Simpson) and is on the first floor so it's a lot cooler in the summertime and it makes moving in easier. The apt is well heated in the winter as well which is usually rare for most Chicago apts. I'm able to walk around in shorts during those brutal Chicago winters. The kitchen was recently remodeled and the apt has hardwood floors. The windows are relatively new as well, not the wooden kind that stick or cause drafts. Each room has a ceiling fan which helps in the summer if you don't have a window AC unit.

Cable TV is free with the rent (We get all the HBO's). The only utilities you have to pay is electricity and internet and your split each month would only average around 30 dollars. There's no security deposit either with this place which is awesome.

There is a laundry (quarters) and exercise room as well. The building owners are very fast with maintenance calls. I've never had to wait more than a few hours to get something fixed.

Street parking is plentiful. You'll need to purchase an Evanston permit but that would only run about 140ish dollars for the year.

I'm usually quite busy during the week so things are pretty low key at the apt during the weekdays. I do enjoy going out on the weekends (movies, Cubs games, the beach, bars, shooting pool, playing poker, etc). I'm a fairly clean and neat person. I don't expect things to be immaculate, but I prefer to keep the apt clean. I'm pretty laid back, there's not many people I don't get along with.

I'd prefer a student / grad student but I'm pretty open to anyone (10 min walk to Northwestern and close to the Noyes and Foster Purple Line stop). Male / Female applicants are fine, I've lived with 2 females before and we got along great.
