Position/Title:		Network Administrator<br>
				<br>
Responsible To:		Coordinator of Instructional Technology<br>
<br>
Terms of Employment:	12 Months<br>
<br>
Salary:	Commensurate with education and employment history<br>
<br>
Qualifications:		<br>
•	Related degree preferred and applicable certifications preferred<br>
•	Superior troubleshooting and task analysis skills<br>
•	Experience in software configuration, diagnosis and setup of Windows, Macintosh and Linux computers<br>
•	Have a working knowledge of servers (Novell, Windows, Macintosh and Linux) including server virtualization, routers, switches, DNS, TCP/IP, network topology, design and other related network skills<br>
•	Have a working knowledge of VOIP and Enterprise wireless systems<br>
•	Ability to communicate effectively<br>
<br>
Experience:<br>
	<br>
•	Minimum of five years experience in high level technical support<br>
•	Three years of network administration<br>
•	At least two years of school district experience is preferred<br>
<br>
Location:  LakeView, travel to other buildings limited<br>
<br>

The Network Administrator, in collaboration with the Coordinator of Instructional Technology, will manage academic and administrative technology systems.<br>
<br>
Network Administration Responsibilities<br>
 <br>
•	Support and maintains computer platforms including managing the backups of network servers or related service(s)<br>
•	Configure and install new hardware including network equipment<br>
•	Manage and direct upgrade and/or repair of existing network hardware<br>
•	Develop and edit technical specifications for District technical purchases<br>
•	Responsible for supporting higher level computer troubleshooting support<br>
•	High level hardware/software diagnostics<br>
•	Provide backstop to the Technology Support Manager<br>
<br>
Management Responsibilities <br>
<br>
•	Function as key liaison to coordinate activities between the network consultants and District needs <br>
•	Keep all constituents informed of operational aspects of the network<br>
•	Maintain expertise in computer technology and provide suggested improvements and advancements to school's system<br>
•	Work with the Coordinator of Instructional Technology to generate and manage the Technology Department Budget<br>
•	Work with the Coordinator of Instructional Technology to advance Technology Plan<br>
•	Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Instructional Technology<br>

Expectations<br>
•	Wear a two way phone during work hours and respond immediately<br>
•	Be reachable during non work hours in case of emergency<br>
•	Check and respond to communications (e-mail/VoiceMails) in a timely fashion<br>
•	Meet regularly with Technology Team<br>
•	Communicate effectively with school staff upon entering and exiting buildings<br>
•	Communicate with all staff, students and public in a professional, courteous manner<br>
