I am going to back to school and am sad to be leaving this awesome apartment where I've lived for the past four years. It will be available on January 15th. Located on Eastlake Terrace, a tree-lined hidden gem of a street in Rogers Park, the lake is literally across the street (you can see it from the living room windows!). You will be five minutes from Evanston, and about ten minutes from Andersonville, both of which have great restaurants, shopping, and coffee shops. You will also be about three blocks away from the Howard Red Line stop, and about six blocks away from the Jarvis stop--both are easily walkable.

The apartment is a two-bedroom with hardwood floors throughout. It has three big windows in the living room, so gets lots of light. Nice big kitchen with lots of cabinets and counter space and a stove and oven that are less than five years old. There is a front closet for coats and hall closet for linens and each of the bedrooms also have a large closet. There are two wall unit air conditioners that come with the apartment and they do a great job of cooling in the summer. Heat is controlled by the building, but I haven't had much of a problem with it. The bathroom has a large medicine cabinet, as well as a lot of storage under the sink and counter. The bedrooms are fairly large and can fit any size bed (I have a queen-size in my room and there is plenty of room).

Rent is $900/month which includes water, sewage, trash, and heat (I'm willing to negotiate on this, but it will go back up at the end of March after the sublet is over, should you choose to renew the lease). You pay for electric, Internet, and cable (if you want them). In general my electric bills are around $35 in the winter and $75 in the summer when I'm blasting the A.C. (I can't stand to be hot). You can also buy a parking space that is right behind the building for $80/month. There is a back entrance to all of the apartments in the building, so you don't have to walk around to the front if you park in the back. Pets are allowed with a monthly fee. I have a 65-pound dog and she costs me $30/month added to my rent. This is one of the few nice apartment communities that allows larger dogs. The sublet is from January 15th through the end of March, however, I'll be paying for January so you can have the second half of January for free. You have the option to renew the lease at the end of the sublet. As I am leaving for school in early January and I'll be at home with my family for the holidays until then, I have a friend who will be showing the apartment for me if you're interested in seeing it. Just reply to the email here and I'll forward it on to her so she can set up a time for you. She lives in the building next door so she can come over whenever.
