We're looking for an experienced tech writer/editor with 3- to 5-years' experience covering the manufacturing field to develop content for our new Web site: www.micromanufacturing.com.
This is a part-time position to start (approximately 12- to 15-hours weekly). Could become full time in the fall, when we publish the premiere edition of MICROmanufacturing. Can be done remotely.
If you have written about manufacturing processes, such as milling, EDMing, lasing, fabricating, stamping, moldmaking, etc., e-mail an intro letter and resume.
Requirements:
--Develop, write, edit and post content online.
--Research new technologies.
--Generate article ideas.
--Possess great interviewing skills.
--Able to write clean copy quickly and meet deadlines.
--Degree in English or Journalism.
Location: northbrook
Compensation: $20,000+, depending on experience
